Silvia has a background in social services, business administration, and operational leadership. She has overseen residential programs, led organizational restructuring projects, financial fidelity, staff development, and quality assurance for over 20 years. Financial oversight has included securing fidelity of a $25 million annual budget for residential programming. She has spearheaded operational efficiency and operation protocols for trauma-informed services for state licensed facilities. Within social services, Silvia has 12 years of experience working with exploited, trafficked, and at-risk populations.  

On a personal level, she offers lived experience in adapting to a new culture, learning English as a second language, and navigating academia, immigration, and other social challenges. She is a proud Latina who makes her family a priority. She enjoys and finds healing through art, nature, and spending time with love ones.
