in 1941, we have served the needs of vulnerable people across southern Arizona

Services to Afghan Survivors Impacted by Combat (SASIC)

The JFCS SASIC program supports Afghans who have entered the U.S. through Operation Allies Refuge/Operation Allies
Welcome/Operation Enduring Welcome and have been impacted individually or as a family by the effects of combat.

The JFCS SASIC program includes:

  • psychosocial wellness groups
  • peer support
  • case management
  • employment support
  • family strengthening activities
  • art and culture program
  • psychotherapy services

Under the SASIC grant, TMC One is providing primary care services for uninsured Afghans qualifying for SASIC services.

The JFC’s Board of Directors is made up of eight Afghan members and one Iranian.
