Our Approach
Alas Phoenix is grounded in a community psychology prevention model, working to prevent exploitation and trafficking before it begins—and to reduce its recurrence and impact when it does occur. Our approach is rooted in empowerment, offering education, skill-building, and coaching to individuals identified as at-risk and to survivors of exploitation and/or trafficking. Beyond direct services, Alas Phx partners with organizations to provide consulting in capacity building and program development, helping to strengthen intervention and care efforts across the field. To amplify our impact, we invest in coalition building—fostering partnerships and collaboration that strengthen communities and drive collective change.
Our Leadership
Our leadership team has 20+ years of experience providing direct service and program development to at-risk, exploited, and trafficked populations within multiple levels of integrated care. We have served at local and global organizations to launch and advance prevention and intervention services, as well as provide timely support in active conflict zones.

Our passionate and skilled team delivers services that are evidence and trauma informed, and guided by the wisdom of lived-experience. Empowerment is at the center of the organizational culture, team development strategies, and of our services.
